Samuel Stabler was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1984.

He is currently living with his wife in New York.


In my work I investigate trends in visual languages. I focus on mass media, literature, low-brow culture and fine arts and look for reoccurring symbols, movements and trends. Over the past year this has led to the creation of what I call obsessive mark making techniques. The abundance of information collected has manifested itself in several different drawing techniques where I make marks, paint or cut in abundance. I do this to liberate the creative process and as a way of purging myself of a thought.
